Sinking Peninsula

There is a 26-kilometer-long peninsula called the Notsuke Peninsula in Hokkaido, Japan. The peninsula is home to a variety of animals and is a tourist destination.

In recent years, however, the Notsuke-Peninsula is in danger of disappearing due to the ongoing destruction of nature and the rising sea levels caused by global warming. When I stopped by on my trip, I was struck by the animals' eyes that seemed to appeal to me in some way. As for the destruction of nature, the animals that live on the peninsula, such as Ezo deer and foxes, seemed to have a greater sense of urgency than humans.
